On Monday February 1, we have taught on
1- The French alphabet, including pronunciation, illustration and song.
2- Presentation on how to introduce yourself ( bonjour, je m’appelle)
3- The different colors in French such as red, blue, green, yellow…
4- We played bingo as activity with different colors
I personally took a group of children and I taught them how to read the French alphabet. I also taught how some French colors read and together we played the bingo activity based on colors. All the kids were fine, they shared the desire to learn French and they really paid attention of what we were teaching. During the teaching, I was frustrated because since I came in the US it was my first time to be around kids. I think that since I saw all the kids, the next time will be easy. the thing we really need to concentrate on it is how to manage the one hour teaching because it went too fast the last time that we have not done all the thing that we scheduled.
Have a good weekend

How do you think you can overcome your frustration? Did you enjoy working with small groups better than with the whole class at a time?
ReplyDeletechristian, en tan que francophone tu devrai prendre le temps lorsque tu enseignesle francais surtout aux plus petit. mais j'aimerai savoir quelle est la particularite de tes eleves ?
ReplyDeleteNow that we have had a second class, what did you think about the kids' attitudes toward you? If this changed, did it make things easier for you as you taught?
ReplyDeleteI would be interested to hear if you find American kids different. If so, how are they different?
