colors and shapes

last Monday was the second day of teaching french to children. i felt less pressure partly because i met the children already. once in the classroom, we reviewed the french alphabet and then separated the kids in three groups for rotation. i taught to my group colors as a review and then we learned the different shape in french such as le traingle, le rectangle etc... we played a bingo game based on colors and shapes. the first group of kids that i had foused all thier attention of what i was saying mostly because they knew how to read already and teaching them was very easy. the second group was mostly distracted maybe because they were young than the first one and they did not know how to read. and it was difficult with them to play the bingo game. we had the same problem this time again, the time. i didn't have the time to teach the third group because our time was up. i think that we need chronometer to remind us that the time is up and that we need to change the group of children. i really liked teaching on Monday because at the end i felt like i did something good.

  1. That's great that you felt more comfortable with the kids this time! I think that's very typical especially with the first lesson when you don't really know what's going to happen. It seems like the different stations are working out very well too. An alarm would defenitly help keep track of time though. Keep up the good work!
